Three people were injured after a shooting at a nightclub in Thorold on Sunday.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., police were called to L8 nightclub on Highway 20, just outside of Niagara Falls, for reports of gunshots in the area.

Investigation revealed shots had been fired from a vehicle leaving the area of club. As a result, three people were injured.

All three victims were treated in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are actively searching for two suspects who fled in a dark-coloured sedan.

Highway 20 is closed between Highway 58 and Thorold Townline Rd. while officers continue to investigate.
