Guy Lafleur coming to Fallsview

Hockey and Habs legend Guy Lafleur is coming to the Embassy Suites at the Fallsview Hotel and Casino for an intimate night of conversation on Nov. 30.

Ticket holders will be treated to a dinner-date with the hall-of-famer, complete with a Q&A session, pictures and autographs.

The event will cater to hockey fans both old and young.

“I’m going to be there for autographs and taking picture with the fans and things like that. I’m looking forward to it,” Lafleur said to Niagara Now in September.

He said the last time he was in Niagara was three years ago when he sailed down.

Lafleur played 17 seasons in the NHL and scored 1,246 points in an illustrious career which included five Stanley Cup victories with the Montreal Canadiens.

Lafleur said though he enjoys talking to fans, most who approach him these days are less concerned with the past.

“They’re not talking about my past right now, they’re talking about the training camp of the Montreal Canadiens. They played six games already, they didn’t win and they asked me what the heck is going on with the team. My answer to that is always: the good old days. Remember the good old days.”
