Tree planting aims to help stormwater management

Employees of Hornblower Niagara Cruises, along with volunteers from Westlane Secondary School, helped to plant 40 trees along the Warren Woods Trail in Niagara Falls on Friday.

The planting was the third of a three-phase tree planting project along the trail to help with storm water management and to add shade to the area.

The Park in the City Committee, who initiated the project, have been successful in acquiring an environmental grant from the Niagara Community Foundation to complete this project.

Hornblower Niagara Cruises added additional funding to the support the project this year.
