The 32nd annual Artistry by the Lake show, which gives artists and artisans a chance to showcase their work, is returning to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Eighty artisans from all parts of Ontario will be on hand this weekend. Organized by the NOTL Chamber of Commerce, the event kicks off on Saturday, June 29 and will run until Monday, July 1. The free show, held at Queen’s Royal Park, runs from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. each day.

“It brings thousands and thousands (of people) each year,” said Kim Fletcher, the event's organizer. “It’s fantastic. It’s a great show.”

The art pieces availbable at the event will include paintings, fibre arts, jewelry, sculptures and photography as well as pottery, glass and wood.

It is a juried show meaning the judges, comprised of chamber board members and Lord Mayor Betty Disero, will be reviewing the displayed works on the first day of the show. The winners in the first three places in two categories – visual arts, and crafts – will earn awards of excellence.
