Man, 52, killed in Falls hit and run

Niagara Falls police are looking for a driver involved in a hit and run in the city on Thursday night.

Police were called to the area of Drummond Road and Dunn Street at 11:38 p.m. and determined a 52-year-old male had been driving an e-bike when he lost control and was thrown from the bike before being struck by a southbound vehicle, said a media release from the Niagara Regional Police.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the scene.

The male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police are requesting that anyone with video cameras facing Drummond Road in the area of the collision review their footage. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, Badge number 9265.
