Playgrounds were stripped of the protective fencing and reopened with signs for safe use on July 24, as Niagara-on-the-Lake entered Stage 3 of COVID recovery. The Janzens, Alicia and Eve, from St. Catharines, made a stop at the Virgil playground and splash pad on July 26. The Town of NOTL reminds those wishing to use the equipment “to adhere to the recommendations of public health officials, including maintaining physical distancing, practising proper hand hygiene and refraining from touching your face.” It also says playground equipment and amenities will not be sanitized.
