A man was charged Tuesday after allegedly stealing $2,800 worth of jewelry from a store in Niagara Falls.
Police say uniformed and street crime officers “flooded the area” and were able to identify a suspect with the help of the public.
The suspect vehicle was located in the Silvertown area of Niagara Falls and around 4 p.m. arrested three individuals in the vehicle.
The stolen jewelry was recovered and returned to the store.
Luizao Castro, 28, of Niagara Falls, is charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation.
The other two individuals were released unconditionally.
