Dear editor:

On behalf of all us elderly walkers, kudos to the responsible residents who promptly clear the snow from the sidewalks in front of their homes.

To all those able-bodied residents who do not, thereby laying the foundation for icy sidewalks that can cause injurious slips and falls, may the bird of paradise fly up your nose.
