Dear editor:

I am writing regarding our MP Tony Baldinelli's guest column, “Liberal budget shortchanges tourism sector,” published April 29. 

I object to this blatant political advertisement on the opinion page of our newspaper. This is the second one that has been recently placed in this prominent position. Please don’t do this kind of thing. 

It really does look like the editorial board or the publisher is deliberately pushing a political agenda.

If there are budget shortcomings we should be able to point them out without using political party badging. 

We are a complex readership; don’t shortchange our opinions with political promotion.
